About the Job

Our ideal candidate for the Collections Compliance Manager role must be a dependable self-starter possessing advanced problem-solving skills with a high aptitude to use judgment in making critical decisions to resolve issues.  This position will be based in Las Vegas, Nevada and the successful candidate must live in Nevada.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to understand the complete collection process flow and be comfortable bringing new ideas for improvement to management. 
  • Establish and maintain a positive rapport with key internal and external customers. 
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all applicable policies and procedures for the area, including authoring new process improvements and updates to standard workflow documentation.
  • Serve as the point of contact for inquiries, requests, and issues related to customers with crypto loans in Nevada. 
  • Establish strong partnerships with collection and lending teams and sales to foster clear communication lines for customer activity. 
  • Assist with coordinating and completing collection and lending operations compliance reviews including those conducted by third parties. 
  • Maintain an awareness of, and monitor the regulatory environment for, emerging legislation and policy statements, along with relevant trends and industry best practices applicable to US and foreign consumer and business lending operations.
  • Assist in internal audit and risk assessments
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting on the collection program. 
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with both internal and external customers, fostering positive interactions and collaboration. 

Requirements and Skills

  • Candidate must reside in Nevada, within commutable distance to Las Vegas
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field  
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in credit and collections management is essential. 
  • Broad knowledge of State and Federal regulations affecting collection functions, including BSA
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret policies, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines 
  • Experience and knowledge in cryptocurrency, blockchain, and distributed ledger technologies
  • Conduct testing to assess compliance with legal, regulatory, AML, KYC, sanctions, lending and internal company policy requirements.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations, identify effective solutions, and make informed decisions. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment, multitask, set own priorities, and adapt to a changing environment. 
  • Working knowledge in various computer applications, including Google Docs, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Chrome, Google Sheets, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Suite, etc.
  •  Must be able to work independently and perform advanced duties with accountability for action and results.

Note:  Candidate will be required to apply to become registered with the State of Nevada as SALT’s Compliance Manager. Must be able to successfully complete the compliance manager’s certification test, and credit and criminal background checks
