Position Summary:
The Lending Operations Specialist role involves supporting SALT’s lending operations with administrative tasks, requiring attention to detail and timely completion. Proficiency in Google suite of products, Word, and Excel, as well as familiarity with SALT’s core system and loan documentation platform, is essential. Candidates should possess a strong sense of urgency, adaptability to handle impromptu tasks, and the ability to retain information and take ownership of their role. Experience in agile startups or the financial sector is preferred. Ownership of relationships, policies, and procedures within the company is expected from the successful candidate.
Essential Functions and work Duties:
- Assisting with the day to day Loan account lifecycles, from disbursements to repayments of loans, as well as processing of deposits and withdrawals of funds in collateral accounts
- Updating and maintaining commercial and retail loans and trade reconciliation to reflect ongoing operations transactions
- Assist with the reconciliation of daily transactions with the Crypto Operations and Finance teams to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely
- Assist with calculation and processing of fees and other payments.
- Assist with support for compliance, marketing and front office requirements.
- Collaborate with Lending, Accounting, and Engineering teams on a variety of issues ranging from daily withdrawals, to troubleshooting, platform layout and new feature creation
- Assist with regulatory examinations and audits, including information gathering and response coordination
- Keep relevant policies, programs, and procedures current, coordinating annual review by the Board of Directors
- Serve as escalation point for the Client Success team to resolve customer requests and inquiries
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate has experience in an agile startup environment or the financial industry
- 1-3 years experience in sales/loan operations and/or user onboarding in the financial services industry
- Understanding of loan operations, KYC/AML onboarding, data analysis and customer success.
- Passion for the digital asset and fintech industries with conviction in what SALT is building.
- Strong business instincts, results oriented, and a track record hitting and exceeding goals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, communicate with a high degree of clarity and effectiveness.
- Proficient in excel, powerpoint and other financial tools.
- Bachelor’s degree and experience working in an Operations role.
- Ability to create and maintain complete and accurate documentation.

- Self-motivated and self-directed, you will have ownership of foundational company processes
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Adept in establishing and maintaining cooperative and positive working relationships
