Mr. Owen is a serial entrepreneur with experience in management and ownership of enterprise operations with a passion for systems development, business operations, product delivery, and client service. Shawn became involved with blockchain technology through his advocacy of bitcoin in early 2011. He frequently speaks and writes on Blockchain technology and digital currencies.
Sinclair, a Colorado native, has over 20 years of technology and software development experience. He has managed IT departments and software development teams in a number of industries including finance, energy, and IoT. Bill’s domain expertise in the energy industry guided a prior venture, Agelio Networks and the development of MineralFile, a patented SaaS platform for revenue tracking and land management in the oil and gas industry. He successfully sold MineralFile in the fall of 2014. Prior to joining the SALT team in March of 2018, he was Chief Technology officer at Cartasite, an industrial IoT company. As SALT's Chief Technology Officer, he manages strategic initiatives and leads the product and engineering departments. He is passionate about the user experience and solving real world problems with software and blockchain technology.
Mr. Bell is a structured credit expert with over a decade of experience in capital markets working at two large multi-billion dollar credit hedge funds. He is the Chief Operating Officer at Salt Lending. Prior to acting in an asset management capacity, he spent five years of asset-backed investment banking and trading at RBS Securities. Gregg holds a Bachelor’s of Science from the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering. He has held FINRA licenses: Series 7 & 63.
Mr. Yablon is the Chief Strategy Officer at Salt Lending. He has fifteen years of legal expertise centered on emerging financial technology platforms and regulatory compliance as a partner at Atlas Law Group. Benjamin holds a bachelor’s degree in history and english from Saint Lawrence University and earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He is a published author and sought after speaker on emerging technology.
Mr. Cohen heads up Salt Lending’s Business Development. Working for Signet Partners for the last five years, Mr. Cohen has worked extensively in emerging markets and in reviewing and producing contracts. He has an extensive and accomplished background in complex contractual negotiations and transactional deal-making, specializing in real estate, networking, and capital formation.
Mr. Slade has worked in mobile application development, product design, branding, marketing, customer experience and engagement, and graphic design. Working in the cryptocurrency space for the last 3 years, Mr. Slade’s passion is adapting emerging technologies into simple and impactful products. He also has experience in loan collateral repossession. Caleb holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Colorado.
Mr. Lechner is the Chief Financial Officer at Salt Lending. He previously worked in investment banking, with a focus on debt financings, and in corporate development at the technology company, Zayo, and has over $20B of transaction experience. David holds a Masters in Business Administration from New York University and an Honors in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario. He is also an advisor at several start up organizations around Denver and board member/treasurer of a local preschool. He previously held the Series 7 and 63 FINRA licenses.
Mr. Berlin has a strong record of building high-producing engineering teams while owning key customer relationships in complex environments. He has a passion for demonstrating how talented and motivated teams can exceed expectations by repeatedly delivering breakthrough technologies within unreasonable timelines. Prior to joining the Salt Lending team in July of 2017, he was a Software Solutions Engineer at Level 3, where he contributed as an inventor to a patent pending Real Time API used for audio conferencing. In 2014 Joshua joined Six Actual Software and continued on his path as Software Solutions Engineer, contributing to the 2016 NASCIO award winning cloud component platform which is currently being utilized across multiple state government agencies. As SALT’s Chief Information Officer, he manages strategic initiatives and leads the infrastructure department. Joshua is a strong believer in blockchain technology and works closely with both product engineering and security.
Mr. O'Hara has close to 30 years of experience in financial markets, entrepreneurship, law/regulation, corporate governance, M&A, capital-raising, technology, and graduate-level teaching. He served as Executive Vice-President and Co-General Counsel of the NYSE after its merger with Archipelago Holdings, Inc., where Mr. O'Hara served as Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, and Board Secretary. He was also: (1) CAO, CSO, and CLO at the Chicago Board of Trade (acquired by CME) and CEO of the Trading Division of Gulf Finance House (Bahrain, Dubai); (2) a prosecutor at the SEC and U.S. Department of Justice (US Attorney's Office - DC); and, (3) international financial market adviser to Eastern European governments, market institutions and regulators. Mr. O'Hara was an Adjunct Professor at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and Kellogg School of Management. He was also co-founding investor in PointDrive (acquired by LinkedIn); and, primary investor in Pivot Point (acquired by Vaco Healthcare). He has been a member of several boards of directors. He received a B.A. from the University of Chicago and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. He has been a public commentator on financial markets before U.S. and overseas regulators and the U.S. Congress, where he has delivered testimony. Mr. O'Hara supports several urban K-12 educational charities and is member of several boards of trustees in connection with his family charitable foundation.
Mr. McCain is a securities principal with more than a decade of broker dealer operations and compliance experience. Prior to his role as Compliance Officer at SALT, he specialized in securities lending (fully-paid and margin) and audit testing methodology where his goal was always to perpetually grow risk-adjusted income by combining industry and product knowledge in a rapidly evolving and highly regulated environment. Marc graduated with a bachelors in economics from the College of Charleston in South Carolina in 2006.
